Sunny began in 1997 with a few friends just wanting to hold a joint b'day partee! It was such an awesome night that people begged for more! So from that day on parties were held once a month with no form of advertising- all via word of mouth! The 's grew and so did the production and quality of the event and it soon became melbourne's true "underground " partee as it used obscure unique venues like jails, hotels, w/houses and restaurants!!
In 2001 Sunny was nominated for best club night in Australia @ the National Dance music Awards held in Sydney! We then got nominated again in 2002. Although it was an honour to be nominated we were annoyed b'c we didn't want everyone to know about our parties!
In Nov 2007 it will be our 10th B'day! As with all b'day events numbers will be in Xcess of 1500pplWe attract 800-1000ppl to our event every month throughout the year! Our crowd is second to none and have utmost respect for each other and our cutting edge music that pushes boundaries! Crowd age ranges from 23 - 30!
Sunny has never been about $$$$! It's all about the music and people uniting to form one unique event that has the otherside of the world taking notice!
Our secret formula/ attitude is that you are only as good as your last party ( especially b'c we don't advertise) and thankfully we are still around!
