Under My Skin is a band that has it all: unique style, tasteful songwriting, wonderful musicianship, and amazing energy! From the quickly changing guitar sound and incredibly technical vocals to the unorthodox drum beats and lively bass, their music is definitely a glance to the future - an ultimate suggestion of what heavy metal should sound like! There is absolutely nothing accidental in their songs as they are carefully arranged, leaving the listener craving for another earful. One could certainly see the theory behind the music and grasp the emotions flowing with each note.
Under My Skin is a spawn of Tony BARTKUS (guitar) trying to form an aggressive, yet marketable, hard rock/metal type band that would appeal to a diverse group of people. The initial spark ignited by him and Nick STEFFANOV (vocals) lays the foundation of this astonishing project. After putting together some early material, both of them decide it is time to give the band a finished look and eventually fulfill this uneasy task by enrolling brains and talent with Peter BRETTNER (drums) and Jason HUGHES (bass) - two musicians with no less musical skills and songwriting abilities. The quartet firmly establishes itself as a perfect example of originality and profoundness.
Fast-changing trends in music are unlikely to affect Under My Skin. Their trademark performance and sound are a sure indicator that they are among the few artists who have the potential to be around for a long time. The high musical value of their material could certainly become an inspiration for many other musicians and loyal fans. The band is ready to take its rightful place and dominate the music world for years to come.
