.... Welcome to the official myspace profile of the german Black-Metal band "Under That Spell"....... In the end of 2008, after leaving his previous Band “Helrunar“, songwriter and guitar-player Dionysos formed the German Black Metal band “Under That Spell” by including “Sin” on bass (also known as a live member of Helrunar ), “Abyss” on vocals and “Euphorion” on battery. .... The concept leading to the band's name relates to the weak spirits of nowadays society and modern life in general. Intended in a hateful but also philosophical manner, “Under That Spell” combines the traditional and atmospheric style of the early 90's with rather modern elements, to express their own interpretation of what Black Metal is today. .... In May 2009, the band got signed by the German label War Anthem Records. .... Debut-album "APOTHEOSIS" - release and information .... We proudly announce that our debut-CD "APOTHEOSIS" is available from the 15th of December this year! Since then you can order it through the bandpage (http://www.underthatspell.com) or through the official mailorder of War Anthem Records (http://www.cudgel.de)... >>> From January 15th the CD will be published all over the world, so you can afford it through your favourite record stores! .... What expects you are 47 minutes and nine tracks of the purest Black Metal experience! Truly dark and emotional music will let you immerse into the realms of the apotheosis!.. Lyrically the album refers to the increase of the individual and its rise onto a godlike level of being. Based on this, the lyrics will amplify the band's concept of an apparently dead world, where the modern way of living will lead the spiritual demise..... In order to this UNDER THAT SPELL will play an exclusive release-gig on January 23rd in Bitterfeld/Germany together with WANDAR and GEIST! For further informations check out our homepage!.... Also, you can expect us playing live during the summer period a couple of times. Among others we will be part of the WOLFSZEIT FESTIVAL 2010 (September 3rd) and the PartySan Open Air (August 14th)!.... For reasons of which do not lie in our hand, we were just informed that the common tour with SARGEIST and DEN SAAKALDTE was called off.
