David Tudor meets Merzbow having a liason with Coil in the backyard of Iannis Xenakis. Or maybe: Wolf Eyes meet Stockhausen at the bachlor party of Nattefrost. Or perhaps not.
After 7 years of working together under various names U N G R U N D came into being out of the unreasonable, the uncalculable, the surrealistic and the plain beastly side of the human spirit. The methods of action are numerous, hidden in a field somewhere between the scientific and the dadaistic. Between the structured and the absurd.

Just thought I should let you know that the first moment I had to carefully and peacefully listen to your record was driving to Brooklyn late the other night. I was fortunate enough to get lost, so I had time to hear the whole record, even though the music caused me to drive more aggressively than I have since that one time in '96 when I landed in a jailcell in California (true story). Point is, great, effective, and affective music you two put down. Confusing and engaging and painful and enveloping and warm and hot and cold and clearly made with a lot of care. You should be proud, and thanks for the disc!
Brand new release from Fin de Siècle is now available at OPN. Composed in 2003-04, this marks the transition between their debut and "Patagonie", with a greater participation of Florence Cailleux (violin/voice) and the use of organic instruments such as guitar. Limited edition 12’’LP to 300 copies.
