UNHOLD is active since 1992 and could maybe be described as a hybrid originating from early nineties (death-) metal and noiserock drenched in hardcore's disenchanting worldview and gut-felt rage, enlighting darkness with a harmony in the right spot. A clenched fist and the never healing wound.
UNHOLD is an ancient term in german for an ogre, a misfit, someone maladjusted and unwilling to please.
Besides some d.i.y.-tours through Europe we had the pleasure to open shows for well-known bands like Sick of it All, Crowbar, A Storm Of Light, Transport League, Endstand, Biohazard, Strife or Cataract.

The ANIMAL INSTINCT debut 7" EP Stick Like Glue will hopefully be out in four weeks from today. The vinyl version will be limited to 300 copies. 200 copies will be on black vinyl, 100 on colored vinyl. 50 of the colored 7s will be sold via pre-order only and 50 will be sold at the record release party (both versions will have different stamps and will both be #d/50). The limited ANIMAL INSTINCT T-Shirt will also be sold the moment the debut 7EP is officially released.
