A banda Unidos pelo Ódio surgiu por volta de 1993 em Porto Alegre, RS, desde então esteve envolvida ativamente na cena hardcore/punk da região, tendo feito centenas de shows por todo o estado, sempre marcados pela agressividade sonora de um pesado hardcore e punk rock carregado de muito ódio representado pelas fortes letras de cunho político-social.
Durante todo este período a banda passou por muitas mudanças em sua formação, o então baterista Kruger assumiu os vocais na metade dos anos 90 e com ele a banda segue até hoje. No ano de 2001 a banda se solidificou em uma formação coesa e estável, além desta ser sua formação atual, possivelmente será sua formação definitiva.
Além do Unidos pelo Ódio, Kruger (33 anos) esteve também na banda CHUMBO GROSSO durante os anos 90, já Júlio (39 anos) tocou com a DEFECAR (anos 80), DEMENTES e CONDENADOS (anos 90), todas bandas extintas atualmente e ambos estão somente no "UPO". Gustavo (25 anos) toca ainda no GRITOS DE ALERTA desde sua fundação em 2001 e Leandro (25 anos) que toca também na R.E.D. são os únicos membros que participam de outras bandas no momento.
Durante os anos 90 a banda lançou de forma totalmente independente e faça-você-mesmo duas fitas demo as quais são artigos raros atualmente. Depois de muitos anos, muita experiência adquirida, muitos desafios vencidos, a banda conseguiu preparar 21 músicas para gravar seu primeiro CD "Renascendo das Cinzas", lançado no final do ano de 2005 pelo selo Terrotten Records. Neste CD constam, principalmente, músicas que acompanham a banda desde seu início como "Guerra da Sobrevivência", "Podre Nação", "Ódio pelo Sistema", "Anti-nazi", "Inferno no Subúrbio" entre outras, ainda compuseram novas músicas para este trabalho como por exemplo "Refugiados da Guerra" , "Prontos pra Vencer", Sem Chance", "Hino dos Explorados", "Dias de Glória" entre outras.
Agora a banda se prepara para voltar ao Estúdio 1000 em Porto Alegre e gravar mais 4 sons para um EP 7" a ser lançado no início de 2007 por um selo que ainda não foi definido. Após este 7" a banda continuará preparando novas músicas junto a alguns clássicos como "Manchados de Sangue" , "Crueldades" e "Ódio de Você", omitidos no seu primeiro álbum, para gravar seu segundo CD e passará a encaminhar sua primeira tour na Europa.
Unidos pelo Ódio was born circa 1993 in Porto Alegre, RS, ever since they were involved actively in the local hardcore/punk scene, having been on hundreds of shows by all the state ever since, always marked by the sonorous aggressiveness of a heavy hardcore and punk rock loaded with hatred represented by some strong social-political lyrics.
During all this period the band passed for many line-up changes, the drummer Kruger assumed the vocals in mid 90s and with him singing the band continue until today. In 2001 the band solidified in a stable and united line-up, that actually, is the present formation, and possibly will be its definite.

Now the band is getting ready to enter Studio 1000 in Porto Alegre and record more 4 songs for an EP 7" that will be released still in 2007 by an undefined label. After this 7" the band will continue preparing new songs and record their second CD that will have old classics like "Manchados de Sangue" , "Crueldades" and "Ódio de Você", that was omitted in the first album, and will start planning an Euro tour.
