Sir Fracking Mighty Mouse's Interests
|
| General | Writing, studying, goofing off, travelling with someone who understands the concept of taking an alternate route and enjoying the non-tourist section. Oh did I say writing?....kissing the right woman at the right place at the right time...having it last for what seems like forever...then both stopping at the same time with the same goofy smile...that interests me. Being free to explore whats important .......and not having to compromise your entire being to reconcile your lifestyle... that interests me.Having someone a great deal more cosmopolitan than I take me under their wing......that interests me,but having someone terminally street smart do this, i have had that done enough thank you, i am sated in that area!
Finding a cloned body to switch with this one......same look and brain , that goes with out saying...but with genuine refurbished GM parts ...lol....that interests me.
among other things...................................
|
Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence |
You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well.
An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly.
You are also good at remembering information and convicing someone of your point of view.
A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary.
You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator.

| | Music | anything not sampled.. the wonder or an artist is in the creation, not in painting by numbers...anything without a twang in the voice...anything non operatic, anything without a cast of thousands in the orchestra......
anything in a minor key that makes my heart passionate, or melancholy.....
Peter Green, Santana, Kim Simmons, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Alicia Keys..and the ones who came before them such as Lightnin hopkins, howling wolf......ALSO......
The lyric songwriters-the ones with the words...dylan, paul simon, jj cale , bruce cockburn, Neil young, carole king.
The sultry and poignant voices: Mariah Carey, Shawn phillips, david crosby....
INFLUENCES:who made me want music as a career at one time in my life , or showed it could be done: America, Neil Young, Jack Johnson , Dave Matthews. The goo goo dolls-thank you for the acoustic stuff guys, Iris, Slide, Name...all instant classics. Just because I am from Buffalo too, I revel vicariously ..although my talents really lie elsewhere(unfortuately i should have stuck to writing)
THe masters, who showed me the majestry of structure and variations on a theme:JS Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and their more modern-the improvisors/cross overs/iconoclastic idols...hendrix, miles davis, ray charles/benny goodman/electric bob dylan/Frank Zappa.
the dreamy music- mahavishnu orchestra, tangerine dream, rick wakeman, The Byrds and Jefferson Airplane(when it was fresh and iconoclastic)
just a starter list..lol Jazz fusion and soft sultry suff- Joe Sample-"living in Blue."....Benoit -Freeman Project's "Strutting"....Geoge Bensons remake of "Masquerade" Santana "Europa"
LATEST: finally heard the "California guitar Trio" doing a vesion of Bach's Toccato and Fugue in D minor ...my all time favorite Bach compostion, one I know quite well...and they pulled it off on guitar.....I am not often impressed with modern renditions, but this was awe inspiring and flawless. | | Movies | "Donnie Darko", a class by itself...thanks to Drew B. for making this happen.
"Butterfly Effect."... for the ability to suspend disbelief.....
"Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind"......
"Scarface"- A movie too real to watch lightly.
"The Jerk"....
Marx Brothers- rite of passage- can't pick one title, see all of them... "Say Anything" - i did the boombox in the rain once!
"Almost Famous" -brought back the aura of innocence in that era depicted.
Numerous movies that I left the theatre interlaced in the fabric of the story...
Movies of any kind that stoke my passionate nature.
"Mummy's Kiss" ...
Anything with Mia.
"Rocky" 1-10.hehe | | Television | Shows with meaning to me personally- Gilmore Girls...a how to manual on single parenting/raising a daughter in the midst of rich parents and Friday night dinners, broken expectations, and making the best of the ups and downs of both our relationships with significant people in the midst , wallowing when needed, always there for each other.... a primer on how to BOND......and I owe them much for the help they gave me.
Also....Dramas....with realistic characterisations and complex plots...the Shield, The Wire, the Sopranos...to see how but for the grace of God go I..
The tangible fantasies of Stargate SG1.....and how Jack (Richard Dean Anderson) always brought it back from pretentious heights !
My name is Earl, nuff said
Reality shows -real world SanFrancisco was or should have been the end..............
BUT THEN THE LOSERSSSSSSSSSSSSS--------
...after that ----there were a number of wasted air taken up by broken Neilson box rated shows like "survivor"-yuch American Idol -double yuck......"fear factor...where the big fear was can you eat icky foods...duh
or countless ripoffs and spinoffs.....none of which rec'd more than 10 minutes of my time........any geraldo special...any newcast local or national that came across like patronizing a child.....anything with country wisdom as funny/charming (see Foxworthy/Reba) But at least rosanne started out funny.....more losers>the gut wrenching feeling of bile rising when i hear that law and order sound....or CSI and their clones...as I run for the remote.....
Any Soap Opera after Dallas, and any parody after :Soap"...lol
enough, those who know me, know i could rant all night,,,,,,
I'd rather watch the LaRouche hour than the Apprentice.....doees't anybody have the guts to tell Donald trump his hair looks creepy? He made is money the old fashioned way, thru real estate pyramid schemes, so you gotta respect that, but doesnt he know that if he were another schmuck like me, I'd get all the kudos, and he would be a laughing stock.....I guess money moves the laughter to behind your back!
ttfn Randy | | Books | ita almost impossible to resist the cheap joke about dan Brown...sorry guy, but your book sucked....but I'm sure your sense of humor is tempered by you laughing all the way to the bank...DaVinci Code...save your money people and buy a decoder ring instead.
For study- Many of the existentialist philosophers, but more Kieerkagaard than Nieztche in belief.
I enjoy Plato, but I so would've wanted to be there to dispute some of those Socratic Dialogues, there were so many holes in the if/then reasoning used, and where did he find all those "yes-men?"
Frank Herbert and his son- for all 11 Dune books I have read-kudos for creating such a texturous universe.
Vlad Nabokov...despite your propensity to go off on long tangents in some of your novels (Ava or Ardor is one even i could not get thru) your short stories use such beauty of language and phraseology I feel like I might as well be telling Jordan I am a basketball player to telling you I am a writer.
Samuel L Delaney- for writing Dahlgren..one of the masterpieces of the 20th century simply because each time i read it (perhaps once a decade I came away with a new sense of being.
Ayn Rand- Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead :although ponderous and a little preachy at times, are a powerful statement of objectivism....and as one of those intellectual, zen reading, existentialists she chastises in her book "to the New Intellectual" I stand guilty, although the whole atheistic aspect of objectivism throws me out of the circle of your advocates.
Too many to mention...
| | Heroes | | Your Personality Is Like Acid |
A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your own little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell!
|
 | You scored as Dante Alighieri. According to you most of humanity will spend at least some of their afterlife in hell. You have a high likelihood of being exiled, but anyone as bloody fucking romantic as you deserves what they get. You have an exceptional moral code, overshadowed by the fact that you yourself cannot uphold it.
Your existence bears a definite irony, although of fairly Christian morality, many pagans, satanists, communists, and intellectuals admire you and your works for all the wrong reasons.
Also, the brighest star in your sky is never going to be your lover...
It takes a lot of grief to be the cartographer of hell.

Sir Fracking Mighty Mouse's Blurbs |
About me:
Why try to fit in when I was born to stand out? Well like most of us, am better "experienced" than wrote about.
I am often an inordinately compassionate, funny, apathetic enigma. One soul who drifted out of the primordial ooze into existance.
The things I enjoy, alas, are slipping from the real world into fantasy as rapidly as I. My goal is to reconnect with the human experience. Sometimes it only requires someone who can understand in a "real" sense (but NOT in a roll-of -the-eyes he is babbling sense!) .I have valid insights, not parry and thrust homilies masquerading as an intellectual exchange.
I yearn for one who challenges me, not forces me to be entertaining and charming while avoiding stepping on any sacred cows. One who is a true peer, in the "wow, you really impress me as a human being, worthy of a synergystic relationship " sense.
I am the rare mixed with the pathetic.....I am the dirt beneath your feet and the place where ideas spring from......
I am no closer now than i was ages ago to knowing who I am, but am getting an inkling, at least, of who I am not...
Snippet from "marginal thoughts of a lyrical mind" series
My reputation deceives me.
My arrogance precedes me.
My peers denounce me.
My openness demystifies me.
My guilt renounces me,
But my ego defines me still.

 | You scored as Martin Heidegger. You are Martin Heidegger. You are a very wordy person that believes we classify objects by their function, and that community is essential. Once we are in a community, then it is possible for us to differentiate ourselves. You also might have sympathetic feelings towards Nazis.

Who I'd like to meet:
With all such rhetorical questions, I take liberties....alive or dead?past or present? or all emcompassing list? I guess thats best but since I fancy myself a writer lets start with that.
Voltaire...with a translator of course! Nabokov, Lovecraft.....just to get writing tips from the greatest phrasemakers. If enjoying writing could give you the ultimate sensual experience, these are the phrasemakers.
Bill Gates in college so we could be buddies and plot how to steal other peoples ideas to get rich...no not really....but being rich would free me up for more writing...
Can we add an addedum to this, to say that we are assuming "meet as a peer" and not meet as a groupie or with those 5 dudes in heaven someone wrote about.
Ant of countless musicians on my list, but before they made it big.
Anyone with a viable, practical means of folding space/time who is willing to share.
A benefactor with no strings attached....hehe boy sometimes that lazy part of me leaps out.
Any one of the three or four greatest loves of my life...but only back when I loved them, and only to see if that whole "you can't change the past" sci-fi theorum is really sacrosant.
Someone who would've enjoyed any aspect of my musical dabblings back in college because they thought it was original and marketable(i would have settled to be a lyricist) , not because they have a crush on me...
Someone to publish my writing...and find a market for it...somewhere...hopefully on this planet.
A awe inspiring muse who would double as my companion.
People who I have met over the years online who have no ties to my area and are too far away for me to ever visit......sigh.....or too famous!
Santa Claus - but in a warm climate.
