about a year ago - james coppola and his crew had an "imposter" night theme @ unisex salon. that party - that night, gave me the impetus to test the scary waters of trying new art - i went dressed up as the singer from no doubt, and boy - did i look scary, but it was really fun.
i would have never guessed that a year later that doing drag would mean winning contests, being invited to perform in showcases, being considered for two major films, or landing a role as a tranny hooker on law & order! it didn't seem like it then - but this pro-artist, pro-expression party has made a difference..and i guess - that's just really nice to know.

Yesterday President Bush pardoned Cheney's chief-of-staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby. ARE PEOPLE OUTRAGED? I can't tell. When Paris Hilton was going to jail/got out of jail/went back to jail that shit was ALL OVER THE TV, TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY. I haven't seen any any news footage of Libby/Bush's pardon, but there was no way i could avoid "news" about Paris Hilton.
So, Bush said he pardoned Libby because the "sentence was too harsh". While Bush is overturning convinctions that are too harsh, could we please encourage him to pardon Genarlow Wilson?

When Genarlow Wilson (a black high school student in Georgia with a 3.2 GPA) was 17, he was convicted of having CONSENSUAL SEX with a 15 year old girl, and was handed an eleven year sentence. He has served 2 1/2 years of his sentence (the same amount as the total time of Libby's sentence if Bush had not pardoned him). He shouldn't have served any time at all.
Since his incarceration, the state of Georgia has recognized that Wilson's conviction was bogus by changing the law he was convicited under, but still no pardon comes for Genarlow Wilson: Not neccessarily because he is black, but maybe because he WASN'T FUCKING CONVICTED OF SELLING OUT OUR COUNTRY'S FUTURE TO BENEFIT THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION?!?!?!?!

look, i've never asked you to forward anything on myspace, that i can remember. could you please forward this bulletin in some form? could genarlow wilson get out of jail, maybe? or could bush get impeached? i know it's the 4th of july time and no one is paying attention to the news, but this is bullshit. they are just fucking with us now.
