From Huntington Beach, Orange County, UNIT287 is a melodic, heavy power-pop group with a strong So-Cal sound.
UNIT287 has a long list of musical influences, but our biggest inspiration is to bring back rock songs that have sing-along lyrics and unforgettable melodies for the fans to enjoy.
UNIT287 has played live in the Orange County club scene for over two years and was recently featured at NAMM 2008. The band were also recently honored with a nomination in the Best Classic Rock category for the 2008 Orange County Music Awards.
Joe, the drummer, is handicapped with no legs. He is not disabled in the traditional sense as his drumming abilities are endorsed by OCDP and many other companies.
Jonas and Ryan, long time college friends, have many years of live performance experience and time spent in recording studios with previous bands.

No problem on the comment. You make more money dong TV, commercial, etc. It gives you more time to play in front of a live audience. I give it to you straight with no "spam". Just let me know when you're in the Phoenix area and I'll come check you out.
Listeners on FHF minds are kind of twisted at times. I think many times they try to vote people off on purpose because they're stuck in the reality show mentality thing. Even though I work with hip hop artists, I'm a veteran musician. On this site, the music you hear are actually played by real musicians. Your group is fresh air compared to the other whack bands they've had on before. Your group has the potential and you should go for it. Never have regrets! You should sell your music to TV, commercials, movies, PSAs, trailers but continue to play live and make records. In the long run, you'll see that your appearance on the FHF show will have helped you. I hope that you're either with ASCAP or BMI. They capture radio performances and your should let them know that you were on CBS. If you are members of these orgs, CBS will usually sends in a CUE sheet for your band. So you may get a check, it may be small but you get a check. And don't forget the reruns and podcasts of FHF, you get paid for those. All of you are incredible as musicians and Joe is a monster right up there with Travis Barker. I wish all of you the best and if you ever have any questions about the business side of the music business, all you have to do is ask. Peace to all of you! DJ
