DJ Rap returns with the first new offerings on her relaunched Propa Talent label with Elation from up-and-coming producer DJ CJ featuring vocalist Mezo. With a full vocal this is likely to appeal across the board and the Original Mix is a more stripped back version than the Dr Nast-E Remix which also features on the download package. Finally we get the Metasyn Remix (Rap's new band) and it's an all out stompathon. Decent package all round.

Raving since the hardcore days of the early 1990s, the breakbeat sound was always the heartbeat of our musical taste and we took the ride through the evolution of jungle and into todays futuristic drum and bass sounds.

Unitedmindz is the Partnership of DJ C-Jay and MC Kalaish.
C-Jay began mixing jungle in 1993. Now 13 years later he is a highly skilled crowd pleaser. A DJ you have to catch live, he comes with all kinds of mixing and musical styles,always pushing the envelope.
Alongside C-Jay holding it down on the microphone is Kalaish coming with minimalist, precise, conscious lyrics and a warm friendly vibe.
A natural and instinctive teamwork prevails when these guys hit the kit - watch it!
CJ and K compliment each other, work with each other and bounce off each other the way it should be done for the jungle conosieur - proper teamwork and timing, creating one sublime yet brain mashing concoction of the funkiest beats and bass layered musically in the mix with lyrics dropping on queue and with relevence.
You can catch C-Jay and Kalaish live every Friday 9pm - 1am gmt on ukbassradio.com where they take the listeners on a compelling weekly journey through the world of drum and bass jungle music. During the past couple of years we have finally begun to work at some production. Between us our members' tastes cover the entire spectrum of drum and bass and we now begin to bring those styles to you in the spirit of good fun and with raw raving vibes.
Things are developing nicely on the production front with CJ recently winning in the BBC 1XTRA cutting room with his track 'Brain Chemistry'. With both Kalaish and CJ currently beavering away on new studio projects, watch out for what's on the horizon!
