'In a day where everyone can run a basic studio from home the question has to be why shell out the money going to a professional outfit and not buying gear. To me there are 3 simple answers: the atmosphere, the sonic quality and a good set of directional ears to point the mix into the right place. Andy and Adam have a great ability to push me (and other artists) to achieve the best results but in a relaxed and friendly way. To put it bluntly you'll have a great laugh and an awesome set of recordings. The unit is where I recorded my first album and am currently recording for my 3rd and after a lot of tweaking to the acoustics, the live room now has a really bright present tone (and not to mention a nice creaky upright). Unit Studios have worked with a range of different musicians and bands, from Pop, Folk and Electonica through to Hardcore, Metal and Rock.
The biggest achievement to date is the recording of 'The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager' by Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. It has sold 98,000 copies to date and was recorded, mixed and produced by Adam and Andy at Unit Studios.
Some of the other bands who have come through the studio include Good Shoes, Park Bench Poet, Gideon Conn, MiMi Soya, Boom In The Diamond Industry, Targets, We Found The Fox, Look See Proof, Second Smile and session musicians from Jamiroquai and Paulo Nutini's band.

yeah were all good. tour should be really good fun all we can think about is how much money its going to cost and how cold cars can get in the night but we got a couple of new songs which will be really cool to play hows unit going ?
