Unity Gain is a promotional body concerned with electronic pop music. We acknowledge this is a nebulous term and is employed mainly to distance our self from the profusion of punk/metal/hardcore events Bristol provides. We are interested in any acts who use electricity as part of their performance and would emphasise that pop music in this respect means we don’t promote dance acts.
As a reference you will hear artists such as Suicide, Silver Apples, Fad Gadget, Ultramagnetic MC’s, John Carpenter, Ivor Cutler, New Kingdom, Cluster, Throbbing Gristle, White Noise, Syd Barrett, King Tubby, Nico, Cabaret Voltaire, Marley Marl, Broadcast, CAN, The Knife, or Jimi Hendrix at our nights.
We would like to hear from any Bristol musicians who feel they could contribute to one of our concerts and stress that we are a nascent concern of limited resources.
