About me: OSU Theatre is Oregon State University's theatre arts program. Since 1991 OSU Theatre has produced plays in two venues located on campus in Withycombe Hall. The Main Stage produces large scale productions ranging from popular comedies to classical works to lesser known dramatic works. Our 2009-2010 Main Stage season of classic comedies includes Gilbert and Sullivan's THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (November 12-13 and 19-21 at 7:30 pm and November 15 at 2:00 pm), Oscar Wilde's AN IDEAL HUSBAND (February 11-13 and 18-20 pm), George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU (May 13-15 and 20-22 at 7:30 pm). This coming season will also include three special invited works in the Lab Theatre. MY NAME IS RACHEL CORIE is a heartbreaking and controversial one woman show about the life and death of a young activist (October 21-24 at 7:30 pm and October 25 at 2:00 pm). In March, AN EVENING OF OPERA will present stagings of opera selections in conjunction with OSU's Department of Music (March 5 at 7:30 pm and March 7 at 2:00 pm). As part of the 2010 Holocaust Memorial Week, a production of a Holocaust play will be presented (April 14-1 7 at 7:30 pm).
