Indeed, your immediate reaction to this bland introduction is probably very similar to what you experience during safety or sexual harrasment meetings at your home or office. Yet to listen to UNIVOX, or better yet to see them perform is much like watching your mother bake cupcakes for a neighbor you despise. It will cause such a fantastic flame of excitement, fervor and anxiety, you'll feel the urge to upturn the bowl of batter over her apron to drive the lesson home. Problem is: she'll never learn her lesson. Much like this sad display of maternal abuse, UNIVOX thrives on the unique concoction of their strengths and weaknesses combined with an ability to leave an indelible impression on one's psyche. What does that mean? What am I talking about? I'll tell you what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a gnarled sound melded, welded and massaged throughout years of frustrated fraternization between The Shangri-Las, Leonard Cohen and David Behrman's "Wave Train". I'm talking about too much blood in your mouth when your filling out a job application. I'm talking about trust. Trust me: UNIVOX makes pop songs for people who like music. That's what.
