Uni Wrong were a band, and therefore, by definition, were "a self induglent waste of time and money."
The band first came together in 2004, with three 16 year old school mates. They gained a second guitarist in 2006 and continued to write and record (or as the band themselves put it, “toil away in obscurity”) into 2008.
The true extent of their abilities did not become apparent until their last recording “Cheap Talk/Short Memories EP” was released (for free) in 2007, to great fanfare*
Embittered and quite literally on the verge of suicide, the band called it quits in June 2008, to the complete ambivalence of the local punk scene. The band cites "creative similarities" with the their inceasingly estranged bassist as the main cause of this devistaing blow to North East music.
