Unleash Your Fire Performance Project for Women is a performance-based project designed to empower women, from the inside out, using erotic performance art as a vehicle for transformation. Classes include everything from writing, theater and spoken word to instruction in the art of burlesque and striptease. We use trust, intimacy, dance-movement, storytelling, and visualization exercises to facilitate participants to tap into, explore, reclaim and celebrate their erotic power!
UYF can provide programs of varying lengths: 3-hour, one-day, weekend up to 12-week projects. Although the UYF curriculum is performance-based, it isn’t just for performers. We welcome all levels of experience, from the amateur to the professional. UYF’s programs can be designed to accommodate specific constituencies and situations including but not limited to seasoned performers of various genres, breast cancer survivors, housewives and mothers, rape and incest victims and survivors, disadvantaged communities, etc.

As a performance artist, UYF can provide you with the tools to create a top-rate show, add fire and vitality to your performances and deepen your impact on your audiences. As an amateur, UYF can provide you with the confidence to develop and perform your own erotic masterpiece, as a boudoir performance for that special someone, or simply because you want to be more empowered in your sexual and creative power.
Programs of 4 weeks or more culminate in a graduation performance in a professional production before a live audience of your peers and the general public!
To enhance and broaden your experience, UYF features top-notch burlesque, striptease, performance and production artists as guest teachers who share their skills in devising techniques, character development, writing/poetry, make-up application, costumes, props, and more!
Vixen Noir is also looking for women to train as facilitators and seasoned performance artists as guest teachers. If you are interested, email Vixen at vixen_noir@hotmail.com.

Unleash Your Fire Performance Project for Women presents…(br) Two weekend workshops for women taught by Vixen Noir at the Center for Sex & Culture!

Workshop 1:

Tapping the Fire
Tapping the Fire is a performance-based workshop designed to empower women, from the inside out, using erotic performance art as a vehicle for transformation. Classes include everything from writing, theater and spoken word to instruction in the art of burlesque and striptease. We also use trust, intimacy, dance-movement, storytelling, and visualization exercises to help you tap into, explore, reclaim and celebrate your erotic and creative power!

Want to create a sexy performance for that special someone (or maybe yourself), add passion and vitality to your life overall, or simply be more empowered in your sexuality as a woman? Maybe you’ve considered doing a sexy burlesque or striptease number on the stage, but don’t know where to start or your courage ran out the back door. Well… Tapping the Fire will provide you with the tools and the confidence you need to accomplish what you desire in a women-only environment that’s fun, creative, life-affirming and sexy as hell! You do not have to be a performer to participate in this workshop. All levels of experience welcome!

Tapping the Velvet for Performance Artists—Burlesque, Striptease, Cabaret, Theatre, Dance, Vocal Music…

Tapping the Velvet is a workshop designed by Vixen Noir to help NEW and EMERGING performance artists strengthen their performance capacity and intensify their impact on audiences! Vixen uses burlesque, striptease, writing, theatre/improv, trust, dance-movement, storytelling and visualization exercises to help artists develop sex appeal, humor, presence, innovation, dynamic, content, context, as well as props and costumes. Ultimately, Tapping the Velvet helps performance artists tap into their true essence— mind, body, heart, soul— and use it to fuel passion and vitality into their creative process and performances.

With more than 25 years of experience in the creation and execution of erotic, bent, twisted, classic, subversive, dark, comedic, theatrical, multi-genre performances, Vixen is excited to share some of her trade secrets, devising techniques; and offer constructive feedback/direction and more!!!

It’s best that you have previous performance experience (minimum of 2 performances before a live audience) to participate in this workshop. Please be prepared to present a new or previously performed 3 - 5 minute act or excerpt of an act to be used as your creative vehicle throughout the workshop.
