A&WMA's student paper and poster contest will be held during the Annual Conference on June 24, 2008 in Portland, OR. All participants must submit an abstract and a technical paper, and register for the conference. Cash awards have increased by $4,500 since 2007!
A&WMA Student Paper/Poster Contest Call for Papers
The student paper and poster contest will be held at the end of the academic year on June 24, 2008 in Oregon Convention Center, Portland Oregon. In order to participate as a poster presenter, you must submit an abstract and a technical paper, and register for the conference. Prizes will be awarded in each of three student categories – Doctoral, Masters, and Undergraduate levels. Awards range from $900 up to $4,100 at the Doctoral level; $600 up to $2600 at the Masters level, and $400 up to $1,800 at the Undergraduate level. Students are encouraged to submit papers/posters that address any subjects related to air and waste issues. These topics will be considered and judged equally for • Technical quality • Relevance and significance to current environmental issues related to air and waste • Lack of commercialism
