Support: Dundee Women’s Aid provides its direct service to women, young people and children who have experienced, or are experiencing, domestic abuse. Safe accommodation, emotional and practical support is provided.
Refuge: 4 refuges offering safe and secure accommodation and ongoing support for 16 families, 4 for single women and the remaining 12 spaces for women, young people and children.
Follow-on/Outreach: Women continue to be supported when leaving refuge and settling in the community. Women can also receive support in their own homes, or temporary accommodation.
Children’s Services: One-to-one support is offered to children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. Children and young people can receive support even though their mother has not been directly in touch herself. Group activities are also provided.
Training: Multi-agency, agency specific and awareness raising sessions provided.
Prevention: Developing prevention work in schools and providing awareness raising sessions across a wide section of the community.
