About Unmistakably Real [Recording Debut Album]

Unmistakably Real are a brightlingsea based acoustic duet, Darrell and Ben started off in a 5 piece rock band Damn/Torque many years ago with Ben playing drums and Darrell singing lead Vocals. Ben however started writing several acoustic numbers, one of the first being path to freedom back in 2006. But Ben had a Problem, he wanted to play these songs live, but he could'nt sing to save his life! So he politely asked darrell if he wanted to start a little side project, knowing that Darrells Voice was more suited to lighter acoustic music rather than heavy metal! So we started playing a few little gigs. A lot of shows at the colne school where we started out. Ben had a few singing lessons and started to learn to sing in harmony which came in very handy! Ben also taught Darrell a bit of guitar which he picked up very quicky. Which enabled Ben to put in a few little solos here and there! And the rest as they say is history! We like to have a laugh whether its onstage or off. And we simply love playing music.

We are Proud to announce that we have been asked to play brightlingsea free music festival this year on the acoustic stage. It takes place on sunday the 3rd of august. So we hope you are free that day to come down and check us out. It is a lovely day, many people bring picnics and stuff and just hang out on hurst green and listen and relax to the music.

We are available for functions as well as gigs so if you wanna book us for a party, wedding or whatever just send us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

We have a demo available featuring a few of our most played songs so if you would like a copy dont hesitate to give us a shout and we'll get one to ya.

Also we love to hear what you think of our music so please leave us a comment and let us know what you think.

See you at a gig soon!

Hi,

Thanks for befriending trunkdog!
Have you had a chance to listen to any of our songs yet? if so, and they made you laugh, maybe you could tell your friends and spread the joy a bit?

We recently played a set of three songs LIVE on Sue Marchant's show on BBC Radio and have just completed a double performance of our "Complementary Hooter Show" on May Bank Holiday weekend to packed houses and a 20-minuter at The Masons Arms in Bury St Edmunds.
We've also just performed at the Wivenhoe Funny Farm comedy club, and next we'll be doing a showcase back at The Masons Arms in Bury St Edmunds on 9th July. if you're anywhere near, maybe you can come to see us? All the details are on our myspace page.

Thanks again, looking forward to hearing back from you.
