ABOUT UNNI :
It's safe to say Unni Wilhelmsen is an experienced artist, counting ten years, five albums, numerous fans and innumerable concerts. Adding her personal signature and feel to everything she does, she is a contributor to the singer/songwriter-tradition worth noticing. In Norway she has been a major inspiration to young singers, songwriters and guitarists ever since her first album release "To whom it may concern" (Polygram) in 1996. The album achieved two Norwegian Grammy Awards: Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, and reached the Golden Record of Sales Achievement. You can read more about her albums in the left column, or by visiting her web
Although writing in English, Norway has been her main playground throughout her career. But without mentionable attempts of claiming parts of the international market, she has fans all over the world. It has been three years since her latest release "Hurricane's Eye" (St. Cecilia Music 2003), but somehow she is not forgotten, and gives a lot of concerts every year. Her guestbook counts several postings and comments every week, and she always takes her time to read and respond to all the contributions added. Her fans love her for her ability to keep close to them, and taking them seriously as individuals. Unni contains all the pieces of a singer/songwriter-puzzle, but she also has this special something that sometimes makes the audience fall in love with an artist during concerts.
In 2003 she started her own independent label ST CECILIA MUSIC, after having been signed with PolyGram and Universal for several years.
Oct 30th 2006 Unni released her 6. album: TIL MEG (FOR ME):
Now, two things that are easy to hear make the TIL MEG album different from the previous. The lyrics are in Norwegian cowritten with boyfriend Terje Borg. Secondly, Unni has produced much of the material herself. Resulting in a large span of sounds. She does industrial sounding Goliat (track 3) almost rapping the lyrics. Rocking Til meg (track 9) playing electric guitar. Then Natta sola (Say goodnight to the sun) as a waltz from the north country (track 2). The last song features Unni on piano, and her cat on acoustic guitar after entering the studio through the cat door.

Hi Unni, Munch would have painted you, he missed his chance...
Litt filosofi?
Your music, is an art form where you create the future. The future is born, then reborn in the moment. The future always arises out of the past. Every tone has existed from times very beginning, they are just rearranged by YOU!
We have just released 3 songs from our debut album on our MySpace page. It would be awesome if you could listen to them and let us know what you think...
