CALL FOR SHORT FILM SUBMISSIONS TO THE 2ND ANNUAL UNO FILM FESTIVAL
MISSION & OBJECTIVE The University of New Orleans Film Festival seeks to provide an opportunity for local, national and international independent film makers to showcase their work before an open minded, film savvy audience, and to promote a spirit of community amongst film enthusiasts in the New Orleans area.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL Sponsored by the Film, Theatre, and Communication Arts department, the first annual University of New Orleans film festival was last May in the thrust theater on the Lakefront Campus. Showing the best films from both students and up-and-coming independents in the area, the festival was a resounding success. This year we will be holding the festival in a newly renovated theater, and hope to expand upon last year's enthusiasm for the festival by bringing in films from around the nation and even around the globe.
Please include contact information, a brief synopsis, total run time, a UNO Student ID (if necessary), and a check payable to "UNO Filmmakers". We will accept cash, but are not responsible for loss through the mailing system.
Early Bird Deadline (postmark): February 15th. $10
Regular Deadline (postmark): April 4th. $15
April 20th: Extended Deadline (postmark): $25
Submission formats (starts with most preferred): DVD / Betacam SP / digital file types importable to Avid Media Composer (example: .mov, .avi) / Mini DV / VHS (SP ONLY)
All UNO Students may submit their work for free. The deadline for films produced through FTCA classes and organizations is April 25th, not postmarked, but turned into the UNO Filmmakers mailbox in the main FTCA office (PAC - 307)

To be considered, you MUST submit your film online at our festival website - or at withoutabox - by our final deadline of June 22, and send us your film screener DVD or tape by June 29.
