It was in a typical rainy London afternoon that we first met to play together. On the “menu” was Joaquin Rodrigo’s Tonadilla for two guitars and inside room G81 of the Royal Academy of Music the Uno Guitar Duo was born. From the beginning one thing immediately brought us together, the intense passion for Latin music, which made the choice of repertoire surprisingly easy. For the following two years the Duo rehearsed and performed extensively in England and Portugal always in search of one voice resultant of the fusion of two, hence the name UnoGuitarDuo.
Last year after our second performance at the Centro Cultural de Belem, Lisbon, the guitarist and composer Silvestre Fonseca, came to congratulate us and proposed the recording of a CD in the same studio where he does his own albums. For one week we were in BZ Estudio recording with Antonio Bizarro. It was a real pleasure to work with Antonio whose capacities as a sound engineer mixed with a deep knowledge of the sound of the guitar made our task much easier and enjoyable.
That's great to hear!!! Thanks so much for performing it. I'm a fan of Alarm Will Sound, I haven't yet seen them live though. I can't wait to hear the recording!!
