About me:
G'day friends.

This isn't your normal myspace site or blog. The stories here include you. You're in the background of these photos. Your role in this is the beginning of stories yet to happen. It's your prayers, resources and support that release God's kingdom to come about here in Bangkok's biggest slum, Klong Toey. This site is a bit of feedback for you on what it looks like from where i'm standing.

So who is this Rod that's ramblin on? I'm part of a team of people committed to living out the gospel amongst the poor. I used to work as an Engineer till I quit my career and joined Urban Neighbours Of Hope starting 2002. Two years of sharing life with Asylum Seekers in Springvale helped me to better understand what living good news is. After another four years with my neighbours in Klong Toey slum and I realise there's plenty more to learn.

Thanks for being mates on this journey.
Who I'd like to meet:
Take a spin around the streets of Klong Toey with me on my bike and 311's tune "I'll be here a while".

OK, you might have heard one of the SURRENDER speakers being interviewed on LightFM or maybe you had forgotten the dates but we just want to let you know...

SURRENDER IS ONLY 11 DAYS AWAY!

So if you haven't registered yet, there's still plenty of accomodation (although its filling really fast) and don't forget the brilliant meals this year. As well as main sessions and workshops we've also got Foolish Voice forums so that you can interact even more with Jackie, Shane, Frosty and many of the other great speakers this year.

Look forward to hanging out with you there,
The UNOH team

G'day Mate,
Mate I've missed ya. I know we haven't spoken for ages but that has been all my fault. Travelling makes staying in contact pretty difficult. We really should speak soon, I have some stuff that would be good to begin to chat about. But I always lose your phone number! Ele loves the photos. text me your number and I can't wait to chat!
Nice bike. Have you grown?
