Every few months I've sent a newsletter called Rod's Ramblings to my mates. If you want to catch up on a few stories from the last couple of years click on these links to the UNOH website:
This isn't your normal myspace site or blog. The stories here include you. You're in the background of these photos. Your role in this is the beginning of stories yet to happen. It's your prayers, resources and support that release God's kingdom to come about here in Bangkok's biggest slum, Klong Toey. This site is a bit of feedback for you on what it looks like from where i'm standing.
So who is this Rod that's ramblin on? I'm part of a team of people committed to living out the gospel amongst the poor. I used to work as an Engineer till I quit my career and joined Urban Neighbours Of Hope starting 2002. Two years of sharing life with Asylum Seekers in Springvale helped me to better understand what living good news is. After another four years with my neighbours in Klong Toey slum and I realise there's plenty more to learn.
What we've done as a youth group from the slum over the last year. The Thai song was one of last years most popular with the kids, "Dek Mee Bunha" (Kids with problems) Youth Group 2007 .. Add to My Profile | More Videos
Hi Rod, have you heard we're a finalist for a MySpace impact award? We're in the running to win a $10,000 donation :) Please vote for us because a donation of this size would be so helpful to ANTaR - the pic below is a link to the page where you can vote ...

G'day Mate,
Mate I've missed ya. I know we haven't spoken for ages but that has been all my fault. Travelling makes staying in contact pretty difficult. We really should speak soon, I have some stuff that would be good to begin to chat about. But I always lose your phone number! Ele loves the photos. text me your number and I can't wait to chat!
Nice bike. Have you grown?
