Influences
The band is mostly influenced by the imagery of the Chernobyl disaster, and draws from the sights and sounds of both the prelinger archive and obscure number stations. Musically, we draw from a variety of other groups and artists - from moby, to nine inch nails, to massive attack and many, many others.
Sounds Like
Sometimes we sound like godspeed you black emperor. Sometimes we sound like jewel or tori amos. Sometimes we sound like a low-budget indie band. Sometimes we sound like moby. Sometimes we try to cross nine inch nails with bright eyes and the results are hideous. Sometimes we don't sound like anyone.
Unrequited is a three piece group brought together by songwriter Cade through similar personal circumstances and past experience. Spread across three continents, together we write and play music on bare-bones equipment. If you wanted to label us, then I guess that you could call us an experimental mix of progressive goth rock, electronica and ambience. But really, we just play whatever we want. We seem to be heading in a post-rock/ambient direction, and right now, we are somewhat facinated by the chernobyl disaster. Our first album, Halos in the Sky, is significantly influenced by it.
unrequited halos in the sky released july 15, 2005 features over an hour of music, nominated finalist for three musicoz awards and two soya noise youth awards.

heh, the old version of Anachronic is awesome you know. Come to think of it, I prefer it to the current one. But i guess its a matter of personal taste.
I need a copy of your cd, I might purchase one if there are any available. I was meaning to do that since it was first announced the band was together (that was years ago lol)
