FEEDBACK FROM 2007 ENTRANTS...
"Just a quick one to say I've been writing songs for years and I've just come across your Unsigned Song Contest. For those of us who think we can write, but know we can't particularly perform, it's very exciting to have found a forum which is judged on songwriting alone. Thank you for setting up this competition!"
- Asher Dresner (USC '08 Entrant)
“Thanks for the feedback. It's nice to have a personalised response, which to an unsigned artist these days is rare.”
- Al Hughes (USC ‘07 Entrant)
“USC is a great unsigned song contest with a good aim.”
- USC Online Forum Member
“I really want to say a big thank you for your encouragement and opening my mind to these new ideas that can improve my songs!!”
- Ceara Fox (USC ’07 Entrant)
“I think the unsigned song contest is a great idea.”
- Tim Fletcher (USC ’07 Entrant)
“Your comments although critical, were positive and inspiring, and this is just what we need to help guide us towards success. Thank you.”
- Chris Symons of Unity (USC ’07 Entrant)
“There's nothing like honest constructive criticism. I'll take it onboard and make changes but probably won't because the songs are so bloody old and I'm sick of 'em! I'd rather carry the advice over when writing new songs.”
- Mark Cousins (USC ‘07 Entrant)

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to the UK in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. I figured that with you being a musician that you would really be able to appreciate this show. Kevin made a little video at my studio last week while we were recording....check it out http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=34589518 There are a series of shows in England and Scotland....dates are on my myspace. We won't be doing my material, but it is a really special show, and Tommy is a true rock'n'roll legend. Anyway, take care and hope to see you there. DW
"There was a kabbalist on his death bed, and all his students gathered around him and asked, "Master, please tell us, what was the most important thing you did in your life?" He thought for a moment and answered, "What I am doing this very minute."
Look at life as if it were your last moment. Appreciate each breath, each interaction, each person you meet. Seize the day!"
