Formed in the spring of 2008, Unskilled Professionalz is a three piece punk rock band based in Springfield, VA. Begun as a Jamming project in the summer of 2007 With Jay Hess on bass and Eugene Hamrick on guitar and vocals, the trio wasn’t fully formed until they found the dynamic drumming of Chris Scott in 2008.
Unskilled Professionalz sound is a mixture of 70’s punk rock and alternative rock of the 90’s. While the band has several diverse influences they are often associated with the Ramones, the Clash, Greenday, Nirvana, and Rancid.
“We put together a high energy live show that is a cannot miss. While not reinventing the wheel as far as music is concerned, our goal is to kick the piss out of rock and roll and push its limits. We like to write songs we enjoy and don’t worry about fitting in with any scenes or genre fads.”
