“unsoundbwoy is becoming one of my favorite people in the future-dub movement… the cats over at croakinglizard have been making some big noise and bridging a lot of gaps with a "good music is fucking good music" attitude.”
Arcone - Bass Boogie
Drawing influence and melding the sounds of dancehall, jungle, breakcore and beyond, unsoundbwoy has been carving a niche in the Australian and international experimental music scene since 2002 and as a part of croakinglizard since 2006.
unsoundbwoy has appeared at and promoted events Australasia wide, notably This Is Not Art in Newcastle, Voyage in Christchurch, Reggaetown in Northern Queensland and Melbourne’s first jungle soundclash. unsoundbwoy has extensively toured Europe and has performed with general malice, drumcorps, fexomat, mark n, x&trick, toecutter, and stivs and many more.
Productions by unsoundbwoy have featured on singles, compilations and mixes by ruffah-ras, killa, grindthieves, uprizing, respect, bludclot, elefant traks, illcomfort, FOE, don’t doo dat and MORE recordings. unsoundbwoy is available for remix work, offers considered on a case by case basis
unsoundbwoy will be returning to europe late 2009 with outernational beatsmith and fellow croakinglizard wanklerotaryengine. link up, look out.
"at first inspection i fear croakinglizard reeks of no shoes dj sets, sandalwood burners on the bassbin, dole queue to record store bike riders. the crew is unsoundbwoy, sock monster and foundation stepper and if my evaluation of the site has any truth, then i am some middle class stuck up wanker. i am totally hooked on their interpretation of underground. unsoundbwoy is the best new school name since bongmist and they publicly use the term 'break-core' and 'ragga-core' to promote their sound. damn... its been ten years time to bring breakcore back. the mixes on the site are AAA, they use humour to manage the crazy world of DJing and egos and have summed up a real change in dub structures. they are the flipside to the meth'd out drum'n'bass thug step movements"
yeah foe sure. i see that you are touring, how incredibly awesum. im getting very itchy feet to go away at the mo. thats very amusing that it is not you - i was so sure it would be...! very coincidental
