Unspoken begin as a two man acoustic band in 2003 in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Since then the band has continued to grow in not only members, but also their fan base. The band now includes six members from all over the world. Chad Mattson on lead vocals, Michael Gomez on guitars, Jonathan Lowry on vocals and bass guitar, Yamil Jimenez on percussion, Ariel Munoz on drums, and Ryan Babin ..boards. The eclectic blend of ethnicity and musical background amongst the members of Unspoken has combined to create one of the most unique sounds in music today. Playing an average of 15 times a month, the band has become one of the most popular independent bands playing on the east coast. Unspoken has played with many of the most popular bands in Christian music today including, Third Day, David Crowder, Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Pillar, and many others. Never satisfied with simply preaching to those in the church, Unspoken has played in every place from nursing homes and colleges, to bars and homeless shelters. Unspoken just released a brand new six song EP which was engineered and produced by Dove award winner Plink Giglio at 17th Avenue Studios. “I’m very excited about this new independent project that we have recorded.” says bassist Jon Lowry. “It‘s probably the first album that we can all say we are proud of.” Friends of the band may recognize a couple songs on the album, but there are also several brand new songs that were written specifically for this recording.
