Consisting of only one band member, Unsung Criminal possess a single minded attitute towards creating original sounds from accidental beginnings.
Previously in several more traditional rock/pop bands from 2000 through to 2005, Andy decided to go back to his childhood synthesiser influences. He had always written small electronic pieces in between guitar based songs, but never really progressed them as much as he hoped. The end of guitar act, The Stolen, in July 2005 saw his chance to concentrate on purely instrumental music.
Solo writing and producing takes time. Only now, in January 2007, is his debut EP, 'I only realised it was today this morning', finally available. It doesn't bare any resmeblance to his guitar days but people say you can still hear the Andy Jones ambient melodies coming through.
Plans for the future include a search for a vocalist to enhance the sound and possibly other band members in which to start a fully fledged live act.
'Pay my respects' has become Track of the day, 9th June 2007 on Garageband.com.
Hi man, Wish you a very happy and eventful 2009!! And I hope the oscillators are bending just right!
Recently, 3rd Thought Records released my debut album,'Synths of Yanihba' which is available on CdBaby now only for $7. The album comes with a fantastic artbook by Venus Skytrap who helped me catalyse all the songs on the album to visuals (Find the collage we made from all the visuals below). It also has my favorite cover with the IDM Monster and the Indian Heretic which you can find on my profile page.
So hoping you will pick it up and help me continue to come out with some more. Alternatively, you can also download MP3s of the whole album free on www. 3rdthought. com. Keep it going! Sadahnmo
Earth Calling Alice are playing at the Tamworth Palace on 13th July with Crowded House tribute band Crowded Out. This is our first gig in a 'real' venue (450 capacity) and we're really hoping to get a good crowd down.
All ticket info on our myspace page. I can say with almost 100% certainty that we'll be bringing The Breeze back into the set as well as it would seem to be an obvious one to play to such a crowd!
Hello ,
I"ve got 5 songs on my profile now!
New music coming soon.
(9 collaborations in the works!)
New artwork coming soon.
Canvasses and pencil drawings.
Hope your well, and enjoying your day, gotta get back on it.
Let me know how your doing.
(by the way this comment was added using one of those friend commenter things to give it its technical name, so in truth I"m not actually directly asking you how you are rather sending out a bogus pretence to all my myspace friends, thought i"d be honest about it, what a bastard!) I"m off to watch Russell Brand tonight, 15 to listen to him talk about his ballbags for 2 hours, phew! I"ll let you know, what I thought of it).
keep smiling
Joss
