The Ghost and Mr Chicken, In Like Flint, Our Man Flint, The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, Hitchcock, John Waters, David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino | | Television | Just got a bootleg copy of The Green Hornet and it is BAD ASS!! Why does no one seem to know or talk about this show? I guess because nobody reruns it. It is made by the same people that made the Adam West Batman, and they even did a cross-over. But the Green Hornet is less campy and has more of a secret agent/film noir feel. Lots of gadgets, hip pads, moody lighting and tough hoods in suits and hats getting their asses kicked by Bruce Lee as Kato. The soundtrack is Flight of the Bumblebee played over a groovy 60s beat. I think that Quentin was paying homage to the Green Hornet in Kill Bill 1 with the masks and Bumble Bee theme song. Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, go to eBay right now and get a bootleg copy of this show! I'm a big fan of the old Batman but think Green Hornet is even better! Can you tell I'm excited?!

About me:
Untamed Highway is an underground comic book. It is steeped in the tradition of lowbrow, kustom kulture art. Like a film noir story as if designed by Spumco. A slapstick mystery, with much love to Big Daddy Roth, Basil Wolverton, Shag, and R Crumb. It tells the story of Sydney Drake, an atomic age slacker who gets caught up, in classic Hitchcock tradition, over his ears in a web of intrigue. Some of the spiders crawling around this web are: Bananas Barofski, a large man with a gorilla mask stapled to his head, who has it in for Syd; the Eye in the Wasteland, a fraternal secret society obsessed with investigating strange roadside attractions; Anna, Syd's sexy ex-girlfriend; Idol Hans, the proprietor of Syd's favorite tiki bar, Irving the tiki, who stands like a grim sentinel outside Hans' bar; Curious Jorge, the owner of the Curiosity Shoppe where Syd must go to meet his destiny with Adam the Alligator Boy; Noodles O'Toole, a jolly remnant of the bygone silent movie era; the Worm, a armless and legless vile freak; and Dr. Kali-Gary, a sardonicly amusing Horror Show Host.
Untamed Highway is the creation of Noah Snodgrass and Shawn Dickinson; who did the Jimmy Groynn comic strips for Rockabilly Monthly; a special comic book for Garage Punk band the Hexxers; and Logos for bands like the Torpedo Monkeys, and Horse Cave Trio; Border Radio; Brutal Beauties; Octane Radio; and Java's Bachelor Pad; among many other freelance projects.
