UE was a massive inspiration to me, your music helped me get through alot of hard times and it's fucking heartbreaking knowing you guys aren't making new music for this band. I hope that you guys are happy because you sure helped alot of people by making honest and truly passionate music.
I had a dream that there was another last gig, it was at the engine rooms, it all went wrong. The doorman tried to stop it happening because we (me and the street team) told everyone there was an after party in the engine room somewhere. The guy on the door was a big black guy and when people started coming through the doors he was giving them their money back and sending them home. Somehow it was still packed and Davey started playing this really beautiful song that I've only ever heard on that tour in southampton, everyone had their arms in the air, and i was at the door screaming at the doorman.
I woke up, upset, with the line 'things have changed' sung over and over in my head.
nothing will ever be this. This was something really different.
You were and still are one of my top 10 bands ever i've loved every song you ever put out and loved coming to your gigs and hearing those songs live..you guys were a fucking cult underground band and I'm pretty sure Brighton won't ever see another band like UE..love forever.
fucking sucks that you guys have split but as you say yourselves you reached the goals you set out to acheive and got to where you wanted to be...which is amazing.
+ you made a small amount of music that will be remembered forever.
