Bio
One day at a house party two lions, Alan and Brian Africa, were drinking the night away when a friend asked if they could play a fashion show since she knew that they were both musicians. In a drunken stupor they agreed to form a band in 4 days and play the show. The next day they realized it was going to take more time to get a band together. They never ended up playing that show but from that night an idea was born. Alan had previously worked on a solo soul/r&b/hip hop project and did a few hooks for several local artists. Brian, who is a multi-instrumentalist with a background in music production, just finished recording and producing a solo rock/alternative/blues album but was feelin uninspired and wasn't really doing anything with it. "Why didn't we think of working together before?" The brothers contemplated. Soon enough they enlisted their younger brother Sam Quitzon who enjoyed playing R&B, and Folk covers on acoustic guitar. The brothers jammed on a few songs together and on one fine February day a good friend invited them to play for a graduation/entertainment launch party for New Image College of Fine Arts. While practicing their song "Terrifed" for sound check, drummer Shay Hayashi from one of the other bands playing that evening "Skinny Millionaire" jumped in on drums and was invited to play for that one song. Although they only had a short set it was a performance to remember. The three brothers continued to write and record some original music together. As a trio, Until Lions Laugh played a few small shows around town and an event at SFU. The band was later invited to play the CBC showroom for "The Concert/Party for LOVE&SOUL". Needing a drummer for the live show, they enlisted Shay Hayashi who miraculously learnt their songs in the span a few days. Shay was in Saskatchewan at the time and took a very long bus ride to make it back in time for the show. With only one day of practice before the show Brian, Alan, Sam & Shay took to the stage at the CBC showroom and played an unforgettable set of music which had the crowd dancing and cheering. And the story continues... -

Thanks so much for the support Sig. We did get her email and have replied to her already. We would love to help with the soundtrack for the film. All the best to you as well. We will definitely keep in touch. Cheers!
Hey there Fellows, very nice songs just went through them all and I love them!!! Would rally like to come back down during the concert, but I have way to much work here at the ranch. Maybe when we do the movie in July and you guys have nothing going on perhaps you would care to join us out here for a few days? Kiki is very sure that your music would fit the film perfectly (and so am I) did you get a message from her yet?
Keep up the good work and stay in touch.
All the best and see you soon.
Cheers
