"Der Uphill Racer ist Einzelgänger, Multi-Instrumentalist und Visionär in einem. Hauptberuflich scheint er sich als One-Man-Army zu betätigen, die sich ausgestattet mit Gitarren, Keyboards, Klimbim-Allerlei, Schlagzeug, Samplern, einer Stimme und Vogelgezwitscher je nach Bedarf liebend gerne als Songwriter-Orchester oder Konzept-Album tarnt. Der 25-jährige Bartträger ohne Namen hat alle Stücke auf »No Need To Laugh« selbst komponiert und auch eingespielt, was angesichts der minimalistischen Überladenheit und der feinfühligen Arrangements dieses Albums ohne jeden Zweifel und definitiv erstaunlich ist. Je nach Anforderung klingt diese durchdachte Musik wie Aphex Twin in seiner Ambientphase, wie (nicht schlagen!) Your music is very good and your influences caused a bit of nostalgia for me (I love how you put the album covers up). Very similar to the music I listen to as well. I love your voice and the songs are beautiful. I sincerely hope we keep in touch.

die neue platte ist echt gut. hab ich wirklich oft gehört in den letzten monaten. freu mich auch über zahlreiche lieblingsplattenüberschneidungen (v.a. karate und sebadoh). + dein profil-foto ist irgenwie so mogwai - come on die young.. weiter so!
