Although the four "Upmayors" (Pierlooqup, Isocore, Jacques Malchance, Tracky Birthday) form the crust of the Upitup pizza, people like Roglok, Noid, Jonas, Drone, Elel, Rufus Mandelbrock, Eustachian, ToyzRme, Moiexbeat, and many more are stabil members of the family. Not to forget their imaginary yet demanding Boss, Monty Peloso.

Pierlo, who was making music with Jacques and Iso in Rome, met Tracky on his student exchange trip to Germany and asked him "do you wanna talk about music?" Tracky simply replied "No" and walked away. Some months later (after Tracky heard Pierlo's tape at Roglok's house) they alltogether formed Up It Up Records and started putting up free mp3s onto their website www.upitup.com. They released their first CD featuring artists like Joseph Nothing and Jonas the Plugexpert- Jonas and Tracky actually went to Rome for the first Upitup gig in 2003. Since then the Uptowners have been playing many gigs as for instance in Augsburg, Germany at the Lab30 festival or the gazodrome, martelive and university party in Rome.
The catalog of Upfrees (their free mp3 releases) has grown to over 19 releases, and collaborations with other labels (such as Egotwister, soulseekrecords etc.) have become more frequent.
