About me:

Up Late with Ben Sumner is Tulsa's ONLY local late-night talk show, specializing in all things Tulsa. (Think Jay Leno in T-Town, but without the chin.) Each week, host Ben Sumner brings you interviews with interesting local personalities, highlights of the city's hippest events and a performance by one of Tulsa's many talented local musicians. If it's cool in Tulsa, you need to know about it. So you need to watch Up Late.

Now in its third year, Up Late with Ben Sumner airs every Saturday at 11pm on Tulsa CW (Cox cable channel 12, satellite channel 19). If you're either in bed or out on the town then, you can watch Up Late any time at www.uplatetv.com. If you have a story idea for Ben or know a local band that deserves a little airtime, send us a MySpace message or e-mail bsumner@uplatetv.com.

Who I'd like to meet:

Everyone making a difference in Tulsa!

Thanks for supporting our Troops! I appreciate it and I know our Troops appreciate it. Please keep those affected by the tragedy in Fort Hood, TX in your thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to help us thank those still serving overseas and help those coming home wounded, please stop by the profile, read the latest blog and do what you can.

Thanks again and have a great weekend.

    Jerry

We’ve got two kick ass shows this weekend… one in Chickasha at Oddfellow’s Music Hall and one in Oklahoma City at the Conservatory. Both shows are all ages, and we have tickets available if you need them. Also, we have a very limited run of t-shirts available for $10 each to support the upcoming record. Get one before they're all gone... only 30 available for now. Hit us up! –Anti Mortem

I made my first video slideshow and wanted to share it with you. The musician (Elizabeth Ann Middleton) is one I found through MySpace, and she generously let me use her music to set to my images. Visit her MySpace page here - http://www.myspace.com/pianorama - she's fantastic! :-)

Even the Dogs, the hard-hitting metal foursome based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is both proud and pleased to announce their signing with Driven Music Group. Even the Dogs are honored to join a seasoned roster of metal bands, including Flotsam and Jetsam, Crossbreed, Godhead, 40 Below Summer, and Brian “Head” Welch. Even the Dogs are the first “new” talent signed to the label, but they are no strangers to the metal scene or the stage. Formed in 2006, after the dissolution of their former bands, Even the Dogs had but one mission in mind…to create music and a live show that was impossible to ignore. Comprised of 4 members that have been playing in bands since their teens, Even the Dogs brings a vast array of musical influence to their unique, but massively heavy sound. Daring to bring the groove to the metal, concert goers everywhere have coined the genre, unique to Even the Dogs and their music, as “Groove metal” From day 1, Even the Dogs have been the band you had to see live, and on Aug. 1 2009, following their live set, they were approached by Mark Nawara of Driven Music Group, and the recording contract came shortly thereafter. Eager to bring their music to the masses, their debut cd is slated for release in early 2010. Watch for Eddie Green on lead vocals, Anthony Hinton on drums, Jerry Rivera on guitar, and David O’Dell on bass, collectively known as Even the Dogs, to be in your city, or a city near you soon. C-ya on the road and be blessed hardcore...
