Upon Departure was formed in 2007. They wanted to make music that was not only meant to be heard, but felt..
Tired of merely "jamming," founding members Lowen (drummer) and Justin (guitar), decided to stake a more serious investment in their music, and called up their mutual friend Brandon, with the offer of pulling lead vocals for the group. Brandon's enthusiastic reply was, "I'll scream my little heart out for you!" After the addition of second guitarist, Steven, the band went through a revolving door of member add-ons and instrument changes, as nearly all members are multi-talented in their musical abilities. Though it took several months, they finally settled on their chosen positions within the band, and recruited bassist, Trevyn. They played their first official show on April 26th 2008, and have been lining up shows ever since. In December 2008, they added Dan ..boards, to help give their sound another layer and to experiment with the progression of their music. In the summer of 2009 Steven(guitar) parted ways with the band, Lowen stepped out from behind the drum kit to take his place as guitarist. The band then asked their mutual friend Adam to take over the position as drummer. With the new changes that have occurred in August of 2009 they have expanded their musical range and tightened their sound. At this rate it seems there is nothing that these young men can't accomplish.
