+ Constructive Speech = Respecting each other verbally and not misusing the power of words like in profanity, gossip, and slander. Instead of just "tellin' it like it is," we should speak on how it could be. Not about censorship, but looking beyond the words to the person. (Eph 4:29)
+ Conscious/Health = Respecting yourself. Does not promote escapism by drug/alcohol/sexual abuse or habits (1 Cor 6:19-20, 1 Peter 4:7)
+ Civility = We do not align under any Political nor Monetary Agendas or disrespect authorities (1 Peter 2:17). We do not demean our sisters and brothers (Matt 7:12)
+ Contribution to the Next Generation = Responsibility. Have teaching attitudes (1 peter 5)

Our Perspective: Hip-hop without a history will remain a fad, a superficial gimmick. The Upperground exists for those who seek more than that, knowing that there is more than that, and seeking this requires taking the culture back to its roots with a fresh perspective: a death and resurrection of the art form. We don't want to forget where Hip-hop has been, but in rebirth and going back to the essence we find its purpose for existing through its creator. We realize this culture is a blessing and gift, and in response to that we give it back in serving our local community however we can.
This is the grounds for the Reformation of Hip Hop Culture.
