"These guys are lots of fun with tons of energy and smiling faces, they are a BLAST to see live. It all began in a secret, late night downtown bassmint. Many talented, well known pickers from all over the region have jammed with the boys in that room. After a while, the fellas realized they were on to something...they found they were having so much fun together that it would be a shame not to bring it out of the bassmint and out to the area's music lovers. So that's just what they did in the spring of 06', when they started developing a strong fan base and picking all over the High Country. People are talking all over town about how talented these boys are. They spent the summers working the High Country BBQ circuit and really defining their sound, as a high energy, raw, traditional sounding bluegrass band. Steeped in Old Time Mountain Music and “traditional” bluegrass they aren’t afraid to go out on a limb and show some of their rock-n-roll roots or jazz influences. Through their deep respect for other genres of music, they find themselves doing some interesting covers. So be sure and check 'em out when you’re around the Boone Town area, you won’t be disappointed. And keep on supporting Local/Regional Bands…."

Hello! Don't forget to come out and see Doc Watson, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Kruger Brothers, and The Carolina Chocolate Drops and Upright & Breathin' at the Music Fest N Sugar Grove in the NC mountains next weekend! http://www.covecreek.net/sgmfest.htm
Upright & Breathin'! Thanks for being a friend. Please take the time to check out the Studio's bands on our playlist. Use the links to check out the band's pages. Do what you you can for your local scene. You are the people that make the music scene happen! Tell me what you think!
Personally, I hate parking lots --- but we have so many of them! Sitting there, doing nothing but heating up the atmosphere, so solar parking lots! Community-sustained, secure, renewable electricity! Bonus = community jobs! All over America! So I’m back at university learning GIS to analyze each town’s paved parking areas (Greensboro NC (pop 247,000) has 10.27 square miles of it that will power over 500,000 homes (every year) if covered with photovoltaics!) and I’m starting put_a_lid_on_it …………..……….
Ya'll come out tonight to Murphy's (2/6) for Hillbilly & the Enablers! They were over at our place practicin' last night and they sound TIGHT! Rumors of a little warm up set by Upright & Breathin' too! Cheers~Ben
