BRAVEHEART!! RUDY. both RUSH HOUR movies. look, this could get really long so let's just say that I don't watch a lot of television but I LOVE movies. I have over 200 on DVD and over 100 on VHS.

College Football...other than that, I think of an old song called "57 channels and nothin on." As I see it, the only thing that's changed is there are 570 channels.

It's funny, I used to hate to read, until I discovered that I was begininng to sound like a redneck (nothing personal, the word means 'un-educated'). So I forced myself to read a few books and now I can't stand not having something that I'm reading.
some authors I enjoy are Brennan Manning(Raggamuffin Gospel is my favorite book), John Eldredge, John Fischer, Tony Evans, Adrian Rogers, Donald Miller(Blue Like Jazz is a great book), anything published by Voice of the Martyrs, I also enjoy Irish history(I just finished one on Michael Collins - called Bloody Sunday, Fantastic book--thanks Sherry!).

................Our desire is to reach beyond the package of Christian retreats/worship services and do something. Each event should end with action. It is the mission of Uprising to be the answer when there is a need; both in word and deed. America is bleeding and it is our desire to stop it. We realize that there are other countries with needs but this is our home and therefore we must put it first. It is our mission to reach drug addicted teens with the truth that there are better choices, to find meaning for college students without hope due to depression and alcohol abuse, to find hope for the homeless and peace for those that are tired of fighting, to reach single moms with support and encouragement, to help fathers become men that raise leaders, and to fill the needs of people wherever they may be found, just as Christ did; one at a time, with indiscriminate love. It is our goal, as well, to educate and empower Christians to follow the call of Jesus Christ to share the Truth. To train and place them into the needs of their own streets, that they make it a daily practice.....even in the presence of enemies.
For we believe in Him because we know Him, not just because we read it in a book..................
