Justice isn't just a PC button you wear to rallies or a word that gives you moral superiority over other people. It is a life long commitment, it is a sacrifice, it is a struggle -it allows you to think outside of your self and even forgive- it is kindness, it is the strength to understand that we work out our oppression on each other and sometimes become the dogmatic, imperious ego maniacs we criticize. Justice requires that we be introspective- that we recognize, that we are flawed and that may be wrong- justice requires that in standing up- we don't feel the need to stand on each other- justice requires that we control capitalist tendencies to compete with each other-take each other out - justice is spiritual and transcends petty squabbles and misunderstandings. So Many people got their friends-thru UPROSE-they've traveled, gotten dates to proms, gotten babysitters, internships, gone to concerts-movies- amusement parks & plays,learned something about politics and activism, lifted some poetry, learned about the hot clubs and yes, even how to dress and take a picture But MOSTLY- They've gotten friends-travel thru the 6 degrees of separation of myspace and you will find all of them hooked up to their UpRose Roots.
