Upstill is an energetic Swiss fusion band that exists since autumn 2008. It was the meeting of four musicians full of motivation, all coming from different horizon, Stef (singer) Kyle (lead guitar) Arno (bass) and Cyco (drums). This band distinguishes by playing heavy metal riff, in a groovy way, and mixing several musical styles in their songs. With a clear and bright vocal, it leads to balanced, heavy and full of energy tracks. Upstill is proud of his brand new EP demo, which was recorded in Lausanne in June 2010 (listen it here), and is now available on the Internet. 1. ********** STEFANO (vocal) ********** I ve started playing in a band as a singer when I was 14. Then I felt like playing guitar during the last 16 years. I ve been performing in several bands and I stopped for a few year. Now I'm back with Upstill ! Brand new band from Lausanne in CH in order to kick ass. Adrenaline and the feeling of performing and sharing our own compositions are my motivations 2. ********** KYLE (guitar) ********** I grabbed my first guitar when I was 18 yo (omg that's too late right?!?) and i ve never dropped it since that moment. Actually it becomes my passion, wish I could live with that once :D I ll do my best to always improve my skill and be able to play any kinda style (even if rock and metal remain my favorite). Always motivated to go ahead and keep practicing a lot to do my best for the band and share my passion 3. ********** ARNAUD (bass) ********** I was first playing piano and guitarist for almost two decades before starting playing bass. I ve started in a blues-rock style with Hybrides either funk with Lucida Bright, two bands from Besancon. Then I played fusion with Monkey Brain, just before Upstill ! 4. ********** CYCO (drums) ********** I started in the magic world of music when I was 14 years old. First playing drum in a brass band and after a while, I started learning drums. I ve performed with several bands during the last 6 years. To have pleasure when playing, making compositions and have a lot a gigs make me happy and show people we exist!
