Madness. Unpredictabilty. This ain't no sitcom you know...
Music
The house of upthefan is always on the look out for sexy bands who're interested in letting us use their music in the show.
Movies
"Small Town folk", "Horseman the movie", "Butchered",
"Zombie Flesh Eaters On Ice".
Television
Up The Fan is very much its own show. But think The Goons, Spike Milligan, some Python, Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, The Uncle Floyd Show etc etc and you'll be getting into Up The Fan territory.
Upthefan, hosted by comedians Ben & Jon, was the cheapest comedy show this side of Basildon. But now, thanks to the wonders of digital satellite television, the lucky people in Basildon and beyond will be able to witness the crazy madness for themselves.
Started in 1999, Upthefan (UTF) has evolved from the cheap rubbish spoof 'watchdog' type current affairs show into the unpredictable crazy 'beast' it is today. First aired on the Isle Of Wights very own TV12 channel, it has steadily gone from strength to strength, winning over more and more 'fans' as it has done so.
In 2000, it moved from the relatively small Island channel to a South coast city terrestrial network called MYTV. It would get 40,000 viewers per show, which is satisfactory. From sunny Bournemouth all along the South coast to Brighton. The audience figures were more than Johnny Vaughns show which was on at the same time over on BBC3.
UTF has manifested into the odd live gig - songs about pork clothes, characters from the show, fruit going through fans to the horror of club owners.
In 2006, after a break for a few years, the craziness and anarchy of UTF is set to return on Sky digital satellite channel Propeller TV...

Who I'd like to meet: Everyone young and old. From the tiniest tot who'll laugh at Bens magic tricks to the oldest granny who'll feel sorry for Jon and his drink problem...
Have been feeling a tad guilty of late for negelcting our pals on myspace - things have been pretty darn busy this end what with the album release and beginning writing and recording a new album (plus trying to keep the wolf from the door - yeah - we're typical skint indie musos on that front) However - things this side of the screen are good and looking positive...I just hope the case is the same on your side of the screen. We have a couple of new tracks on the jukebox - including a mix we did for fellow labelmate rev spook - if you get a chance - either check it out on our myspace page...or at www. myspace. com/heartfuct
Hope things are well with you and the cosmic forces of whatever guides the universe are currently running in your favour - basically just thought we'd drop by and say 'ello'.
Keep in touch and keep us in the loop!
Much love
Sarah and James
