Welcome! I'm serving in my fourth term in the Washington State House of Representatives. As one of the youngest members of the WA State House, I think more young people need to get engaged in politics and civic affairs in order to create the change we need in this country. So much needs to be done to advance the values of equality, opportunity and individual freedom. We also have huge challenges facing our education & transportation systems. The destruction of our natural environment threatens our economy and quality of life. The cost of higher education presents barriers that limit people's life opportunities. We can meet these challenges and change things only when the younger generation siezes our responsibility to lead. There are many powerful interests and well paid lobbyists in our state capital promoting their narrow financial self interests. The public interest will only triumph and change will occur when people care enough to speak up and participate. Official Upthegrove Campaign website: www.upthegrove.com. I use facebook more regularly than myspace, so please feel welcome to add me as a friend on facebook as well:

Dave, your legislation in relation to college athletes is misdirected. It is much more complicated issue than athletes getting "favored" status. This would create a real mess that would eventually be overturned or worked around.
Hi Dave! You came to my work today and met with Mr. Lee, I did not get to say hello to you but it was pretty cool to have you visit anyway :-) I work at the front desk but was not at my perch when you arrived.
Did you watch the debate tonight between McCain and Obama? This is such a huge election, I just hope this motivates people to get out there and VOTE! I am so excited to support Obama in taking this country in the right direction :)
