Three brave riders, sacrifice all for the song in a quest to fulfill Rock's forgotten Destiny. Come join us as we harken back to yesteryear and rediscover Rock and Roll's roots in Rhythm and Blues while simultaneously moving forward with a driving force of a sound that is unmistakably now and headed for the future. These guys don't just rock cause they love it, they rock because they have to. Uptight Dynamite are active in the Philadelphia Metro Area in support of their debut self-titled CD. Singer/Guitarist John Hebert waxes philosophic about the nature of UD...Ultimately the songs are vehicles for the sound and not the other way around which is often the case with a lot of modern music, he adds, We really like to think of ourselves as players as well, but it's always a tight-rope act maintaining instrumental integrity while serving the song". This perspective can be readily witnessed on the faces in the crowd at an UPTIGHT DYNAMITE show. "People completely get off on the energy because the message is sincere, "ROCK N ROLL CAN SAVE YOUR SOUL" or at least make you feel really good about being alive" John muses, "People get that immediately from our band". He elaborates, "We're very authentic on one hand and yet the energy we throw into it is a hallmark of more modern styles. I guess you could say that we're trying to breathe new life into that dinosaur called Rock. Yeah, that's our noble endeavor".
