The Uptown Rebels are a family of musicians who are on a mission to spread the positive message and spirituality that is found in all forms of reggae music. Influenced by R&B, Gospel, and Soul, the Uptown Rebels blend roots-conscious originals and covers to create an atmosphere that allows their audience to reflect upon the issues of today while still getting their groove on.
This project began back in March of 2002 as the One Drop Band. Formed by bassist Rob Stein and skankin' guitarist George Lopez, this project has evolved into a band that prides itself on its tight sound and beautifully arranged harmonies. Dedication, hard work, and a strong passion to be the best reggae band possible is what keeps the Rebels fire BURNIN'. Come "Catch a Fire" with the Uptown Rebels!
