Alternative, Indie and a bit of Blues/Rock n Roll, throw in Punk a bit of Jazz and mix it all together - you start touching my tastes.
But more often than not the music I listen to is all pretty similar - on my iPod walking to work this morning I had songs by:
My iPod got in a fight with floor one time to many and finally lost its battle and died on 1 May 2006.
Although it did give me an opportunity to rip the thing apart and see what it was made of - which was fun.
I was brought up in a house where the stereo took presedence over the television - music was always blaring out at full volume.
The music of my childhood included lots and lots of Motown and 1970s glam bands - with the odd crooner thrown in for good measure.
Television
I don't really watch much tv, don't have time for it - spend most of my time listening to music or browsing the web - usually both at the same time.
When I do get round to watching TV it's usually sci-fi or music shows.
Books
I've been reading loads of those middle ages conspiracy theory books about the fact that Jesus was really a three headed alien from the planet zorg - you know the ones, the catholic church cover it all up so they can have complete control.
That and political and satirical books.
Heroes
I could probably just list off the usual suspects like Ghandi, Mandella et al but that would be boring - so here is my childhood hero list instead:
Mainly focused on taking photos at gigs of bands, DJs and music fans.
Also covers photographing major events like the Battle of Flowers, air displays and sporting events like the Island Games.

Dull blurb about me
I'm an entertainment journalist for the BBC from Jersey, Channel Islands and am married to Sammy with two children Oceana-Skye and Jaden-Taylor.
I play guitar and drums as well as attempt to write songs occasionaly but to be honest they are usually so awful they shouldn't be heard by anybody that can hear.
the slightly more boring bit is that my background is in interactive design, basically building websites, designing DVD interfaces or if you've been to the Job Centre in Jersey building the Job Search Kiosk they have in there.
