I am a writer of strange fictions... A touch of horror, a twist of fantasy, hints of sci-fi mixed to form an exploration of the limits of emotion and the tactile nature of communication...

--------------------------------------------------
I am a published poet and fiction writer with a BA Joint Honours Degree in Drama and English from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. I am working on several literary projects including at least 3 novels, a collection of poetry, and a myriad short stories.
The birth of my baby daughter in 2006 has slowed my output, but now, I am successfully navigating my way around the challenges of being a new parent and the rewards are more than worth the hard work...
My writing is a sharp observation of life, holding up a mirror to the world in which we live (the beauty and the ugliness of it) as well as an emotional communication with the more natural nuances of existence.
The tools of my trade are MS Word, a dog-eared copy of the Oxford Pocket Thesaurus, a battered and bruised Collins Dictionary and Thesaurus, a rather shabby-looking Oxford Dictionary and a crispy brand new Roget’s Thesaurus which I have not long acquired. An extensive library and a few years of life experiences are also at hand to assist me in my endeavours.
I like to write my first drafts longhand - I have more notebooks than I care to count, but I do have neat handwriting, if that's any consolation - and then transcribe to my machine, completing successive drafts on-screen.
My poetry usually goes through at least 10 drafts.

There are other places in cyberspace where I can be found, such as:

”I want a new Renaissance,
no retrorocket to impede my course
or dull my speed.
I want phototropism towards
a new enlightenment,
to leave behind presupposition.”
