The debut Urban Astronauts EP is out now featuring 3 tracks , “No Submission”, “Animal” and “This Way”. Rock music has now evolved a step further into the future with a new fusion of electronic production and classic songs. “Animal” is a grungy Rocktronica track taking influence from Matt’s love of the grunge and Goth scene of the 80’s & 90’s. Written and produced by Matt & Featuring stunning vocals of Lucia and guitars from Richard James Smith.  

 “This Way” fuses lush 80’s style guitar riffs and electronic sounds with the vocal talent of singer “Bonse”. Both co writing the lyrics and Matt writing and producing the music on this timeless track. Features the talents of guitarist Richard James Smith on guitar and bass.

“No Submission” Matt teams up with indie rock band Alabamma 3’s front man Larry Love featuring musicians Don Jackson & Richard James Smith on guitars.

“Urban Astronauts” are one of the first bands of the new ‘Rocktronica’ genre. They are based in London and brainchild of UK producer & DJ Matt Darey. The forthcoming album features various guest singers including Lucia from UK band Sunscreem, Bobo from Berlin, Larry Love from Alabama 3, Kristy Thirk from Delerium, Christian Burns and others. Urban Astronauts fuses rock influences with the latest cutting edge electronic production creating a fresh take on the band concept. The teaser debut EP is out now featuring 3 tracks with all with a distinctive edge and influences from grunge to Indie.
