The Rules:
This is not a scratching competition. This battle is based on rocking the crowd. Any identical repetition of a track will result in an instant disqualification. The comperes word is final. The order of performance will be drawn at 11.45 pm. The Battle will begin at Midnight.
Round 1
Each DJ will play for ten minutes. This is the non-elimination round.
Round 2
Each DJ will play for 10 minutes. Audience response will eliminate 2 DJs.
Rounds 3 & 4
Each DJ will play for 10 minutes. Audience response will eliminate 1 DJ per round.
Round 5 (Final round)
For the final round, the remaining two DJs will each play head to head, 5 tracks each, first to 3. Audience response will be used to choose the winner of the URBAN MUSIC DJ BATTLE 2008.
The Prizes:
£5,000 & a trophy for the winner, a Scratch Live & mixer from Serato & top of the range Ortofon cartidges. They also get a diamonte encrusted Ipod (supplied by Kamson) & trainers from Trainique
