These are songs you can sink into: passionate journies of heartache and inspiration that find their way into the heart. Her operatic training in Italy and infectious songs, have earned her the title of Urban Minstrel and Folk Diva.
Born in Amish country of Pennsylvania and raised in the beach town of Santa Cruz, she grew up listening to Joni Mitchel, James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Billy Joel her diverse songwriting is heavily influenced by these classic songwriters as well as contemporaries like Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, and Sarah McLaughlan.
She discovered opera and songwriting at Mills College where she spent her Junior Year abroad in Florence, Italy. Here she studied voice, italian language and history as she continued to develop her songwriting.
She has shared the stage with Doria Roberts, Vienna Teng, Irina Rivkin, Molly Holm, and Karmen. She has sung at the Northern California Women’s Music Festival, Bazaar Café, Hotel Utah, UC Santa Cruz, Smith’s Old Bar, Rose Street House of Music, Freight and Salvage, and Grace Cathedral.

There is within each of us a spirit, an urge, that reaches out to all others. That part of us is not controlled by our egos, it knows no time, it knows no boundaries, it has no concept of death...it is undefeatable. It is the friend that we wish, we seek, we know and yet cannot fathom. Welcome to my circle of friends.
"...It is hard to sometimes walk away from a problem in order to solve it. Sometimes our burdens seem so great that they are irresolvable. I have learned this from the study of Logic: To actually know that a problem exists there needs to be some form of a solution to base it on that it exists. As in Physics we cannot measure darkness, so we used Mythos to describe the darkness, even the darkness of our minds. Mythos predates and is the ancestor of our modern Psychologies. The problems we find hardest to walk away from are those that cause us to feel dread. What is easiest to change is the feeling of dread..." From the book: The Lyth of Lemmings by Frank Mueller
